FutureCom workshop at EuMW 2023
An exciting one-day workshop entitled “Measurement methods for passive intermodulation and environmental testing of electronic circuits” is being organised on Monday 18th September in Berlin as part of the European Microwave Week 2023.
Emerging technologies such as 5G wireless systems and autonomous vehicles have increased the demand for higher data rates. However, passive intermodulation (PIM) effects in telecommunication base stations are becoming an increasing problem since more power and larger bandwidths are required to transmit higher data rates. In addition, the diverse use of RF components for such applications places high demands on the reliability of the components under different environmental conditions.
In the first half of this workshop, therefore, methods and analysis procedures that are required to measure passive intermodulation will be presented whilst in the second half test methods that are being developed and implemented to study the effects of environmental influences on electronic circuits will be discussed.
The workshop will feature eight speakers, mostly participants in the FutureCom project, and will include two panel sessions to encourage interactions between the speakers and the attendees.
